I apologise for any technical viewing you may experience

We, at our Church are not the first or the last to be moved in the (brief) study of Psalm 139. The Eyes and Ears of God in this chapter is described by King David.

God’s omission is through our own past present and future ‘us’. It certainly wouldn’t take any time at all for God to search through us, as he has always known us.

(I find that comforting, in that it only takes my effort to remember my sins of the past, to read scripture, can remind me of my short comings. He knows all my ways and quirks, but that is not to say I in turn understand God and his plans. He points things out to me through his word and inspires  conclusions to a problem.)

Isaiah 55:8 & 9.                                                                                                                                           (Paraphrasing) God’s thoughts and ways are not our own, as his heavens are higher than our earth, his ways are higher than our thoughts and ways. Far and away from our own comprehension.

Psalm 147:5                                                                                                                                                    Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite.

Psalm 139:4                                                                                                                                                    For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, thou knowest it all together.      (God knows his children, much better than we know ourselves. It is not enough to remember he knows our hearts, He knows the good and bad of our intentions.)

Hebrews 6:13                                                                                                                                               Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

Psalm 139:5                                                                                                                                                 Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me.

Job 9:33                                                                                                                                                           Neither is there any daysman betwixed us, that might lay his hand upon us both.

Isaiah 1:18                                                                                                                                                                Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.   (I love how God can appeal to us in a personal way)

Psalm 139:6                                                                                                                                              Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it.

Job 21:22                                                                                                                                                    Shall any teach God Knowledge?  seeing he judgeth those that are high.

(Very humbling to know our limitations with God. It is not what we are used to in the world. We are exposed to so many things, attracted to about half of that and have an opinion on the other half.                                                                                                                       I find putting things over to God, while having absolute trust in him, is liberating, because he hasn’t an agenda that benefits him at our cost.)

Psalm 139:7                                                                                                                                                   Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or wither shall I flee from thy presence?                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 (Even if we wanted to, we cannot escape God.  We can become overwhelmed with our actions that can build up and left unattended, can become a bit of a monster. Wanting to shut the door on them and walk away is a natural temptation, but when it becomes difficult shoving that metaphorical, un-dealt with sin behind the door…without others spilling out, you get the picture.  You’ll need to step up and have a clear out. It can be daunting, but as scripture shows before, God has offered you personal support with all the lifting and sorting. Trust Him. Let him help, never be so proud to think you can do this on your own. Best part is, your relationship will be so much richer and you wont owe him anything!)

Psalm 90:8                                                                                                                                                 Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, all our secret sins in the light of thy countenance.

My thanks to Barry for the directions, to Niamh and Caitlin as tech support and to God for his word, his eyes and ears.

Every blessing,                                                                                                                                                         XxVal

I am a Canadian living and working in the UK. I live in a small village near Windsor, with my husband of 20 years (thanks love!) We have two nearly grown up gals of 16 and 19. (thanks again, love!) Finally, we have two small dogs that make sure we get out into God's pastures, what ever the weather, whether it's nice or not. I am always glad when I'm out, as I can concentrate on prayer. Sometimes the prayer is interrupted with other dogs and their walkers, but I am grateful for the opportunity to get out and clear the head and heart. I have been a saved Christian since 1987 (thanks John) and have seen my husband and children saved since 2011ish. (thanks so much Barry). We have seen the humble beginnings of a Bible believers church. While people may come and go, the ones that have found, tried and made up their own mind what they do; we study the inspired, infallible word of God, praising our Lord Jesus Christ through prayer and fellowship. (thanks again, Barry). In my moments of pleasure, sometimes at unreasonable hours, I read the scripture through notes I have taken from studies. I also, write and illustrate. This is a new adventure for me, I would love to incorporate these things into the blog and share it with you! XxVal Mumma Bear Wellness is a new blog, sharing with you my own experiences through the tangled web that is GP vs Holistic views. This will NOT be a forum for tussles as I explain in the first post, both can work together. I would love to hear about someone's experiences in relation to the post topic! Until then, go and have the best day you can with every blessing!
